Introduction of some new characters that look like they could be regulars in Nagisa’s group of friends as well as more weirdness between Etoile and Nagisa.

Summary:

We start off with Tamao taking Nagisa for a tour sort of and a day of just fun on an off day. Tamao says they have someone else joining them from next door. They go to the dorm room next door and are joined by two girls, Chihaya and Mizushima. They head around the academy and get to talking but are overheard by Etoile. Etoile does the mesmerize thing again but is interrupted when she hears the voices of some people looking for her. The five of them hide from them and then Etoile leaves.

The remaining four girls then play hide and seek in the attic, and then play hide and seek in the regular area. Meanwhile the three presidents are having a meeting while Etoile is not there and supposed to be. The meeting is fairly boring and predictable as narrated by one of the president’s thoughts, then Nagisa barges in yelling Detective Aoi Nagisa is here, thinking that room is where they were playing hide and seek. The meeting ends and Nagisa is scolded but later the president of Le Rim School doesn’t seem to mind and actually thanks Nagisa for stopping the meeting which was turning into a big argument. She explains the tension between two of the schools and some other things, then the four girls head off.

The next day Nagisa reads about a welcoming party for the first year students. Right after she hears about that Nodoka (I’m calling her that till I get a name cause she appears fairly often) and her friends walk by talking about the party meaning they are first year students. They talk about how they are looking forward to it because they will meet Etoile, the girl all the students of all the schools love. When they leave Tamao and the other two girls tell Nagisa about how they remember looking forward to meeting Etoile during their welcoming party but she never showed, like she never does. Nagisa won’t stand for this, getting the first years hopes up and sets off to find Etoile.

Nagisa eventually finds Etoile in the forest and goes off on her about how she shouldn’t betray the first years. Etoile asks who sent her, one of the presidents but Nagisa interrupts and says no and Etoile is kind of surprised about the initiative Nagisa took. Nagisa kind of forgot I guess the fact that when she looks at Etoile she becomes a zombie and she gets mesmerized again. However she manages to kind of shake it off and keeps saying how Etoile needs to come to the welcoming party. Etoile is surprised, probably from her resisting her gaze and eventually agrees to come. She greets the first year students and the episode more or less ends.

Impressions:

This episode defiantly had its moments, I laughed out loud when Nagisa burst into the meeting. We got some additions to Nagisa’s friends which I think will stay more or less, building a bit with less influential characters. We saw some shots of Nodoka girl; she was the only first year they focused on briefly during the party so we may see some more inclusion of her in the future.

It was also hinted that there may be something to Etoile’s charm over people when she was a bit surprised about Nagisa resisting her. We will probably see more mystery behind Etoile and a continuing tension between eh odd relationship of Etoile and Nagisa.
