Hazumu has difficulty learning how to be a girl and we see some acceptance from Tomari.

Summary:

This episode starts off a week after Hazumu’s incident with the spaceship and being turned into a girl. She has difficulty with the press but she wants to go to school anyways. When Tomari sees Hazumu in girls uniform when she and Asuta meet her to go to school Tomari sort of has a fit, not yet quite accepting Hazumu’s change and that she is still the same person she used to be, just different on the outside.

At school, Hazumu has no idea how to be a girl so Tomari goes on a quest to turn her into a better girl by teaching her things she has to do and things she can’t do. Tomari and Ayuki, as well as Asuta much to his discomfort, take Hazumu shopping for, certain garments…. Tomari still seems to be troubled by the fact that Hazumu has accepted this change and she keeps remembering all the times she had with her when he was a guy during their childhood.

Outside of Hazumu’s house she runs into bigger problems with the press and the media, being surrounded and pushed down to the ground. Tomari basically rescues her just like she has done in the past when Hazumu was being bullied around. This kind of set off a spark in her as she helped up a crying Hazumu who kept saying she was sorry that she had to rely on Tomari, just like when they were kids and Tomari helped her and she said she was sorry Tomari had to come to the rescue. This sets something off and Tomari comes to the realization that Hazumu is basically the same person despite the gender change.

At the end when Hazumu goes to her room she finds that there are two people waiting there for her; a mysterious man with some sort of weird green suit on and a young girl who looks like her. She is tackled by the girl and it ends there.

Impressions:

This episode was good; it really focused on the change from Hazumu being a girl now which I don’t think is going to be focused on as much throughout the rest of the series. We see some sort of relationship between Tomari and Hazumu, not sure as of yet if Tomari liked Hazumu in a deeper way then a friend when she was a guy or she does now because she is a girl. There will definitely be an advancement of their relationship.

We also see a few shots of Yasuna, but she doesn’t say more than a few lines or appear more then for a total of like 10 seconds. Still she is not kept out of the episode entirely so she obviously will play a bigger roll too. Kind of hard to base things on just up to this episode because I know how the series ends. Yasuna will obviously play a bigger roll, as will Tomari.
